Reflection

We see over and over again the Lord telling his people that sacrifices and fasts mean nothing when they are treating people poorly. There is a sense where God is saying that he hates our worship when our life doesn’t reflect who He is. What he is calling for is care for the groups of people who are marginalized and oppressed. God has a heart for the hurting.

We can’t believe we are okay with God if we don’t speak out against injustice. We don’t have to choose between supporting one group and not another. We say what is right and we say what is wrong.
