Reflection

Our love and care for the least is a direct reflection of our relationship with Jesus. There was a tithe that was given to the poor every third year. When you harvested your crops you were supposed to leave some behind for the needy. Here we find that our fast should be toward freeing the oppressed and to see the poor taken care of.

Not only that but when Israel did these things God would bless them as a nation. Light would break forth and health would come. If there is darkness and sickness, spiritually speaking, we must acknowledge that there is a brokenness to address and it just may be how we treat the poor and oppressed.

Does our attitude regarding the poor reflect Gods attitude?
