Faith, Love and Hope
There is a moment for all of us who believe that the call of Jesus came and it stirred in our hearts and cause in us a change. We then sought to become followers of Jesus and have our identity found in Him. Our identity is found in one thing, that is we are loved by God. We love Him because He first loved us. We did not choose Him, but rather we are chosen by Him. It was that choosing, that love that has rescued us from the wrath that was stored up for us.
In light of that, the impact of the gospel should bring expectation. We should see lives effected by the power of His word. Those who have been chosen will be changed and those who have been changed become witnesses of the gospel that causes it to spread. We are to be conduits of God’s blessing. Examples of His grace. It is this idea that Paul continues writing to the church in Thessalonica about and it is where we pick up our text.
